Pilgrims almost get touched by hand of God

I haven't posted in awhile and saw this article in the news.

The nuns at Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden were thanking God on Sunday that no one was hurt when a bolt of lightning shot out of the sky and struck their 33-foot statue of Jesus.

The lightning bolt broke off one of Jesus' arms and a hand and damaged one of his feet, sending marble plummeting to the ground during a Saturday afternoon storm.

"There were pilgrims up there on the hill," Sister Ilaria said. "The biggest miracle is no one got hit with the falling debris."

After reading the article and seeing no one was hurt, I thought of my little pun. I think a little humor is good now and then.

Jesus Loves You!

You might want to consider that incident as God's anger for making a statue claiming it is Jesus, and worshiping Jesus beside God. Read the ten commandments of your Bible, and see if you are a true follower of Jesus.

Oh, come now, don't hide behind anonymity while being a critic. If your words are worthwhile, they are worth being owned by someone.

Also, I think Jesus is smarter than you give Him credit for. He would realize that this little incident is going to give them more publicity, income, and followers - not less. Attendance has increased.

ps. I don't really like the catholic church. But I don't go looking for cheap shots either.
