God is in Control

I don't have a verse today, but a concept. This song has been going through my head lately and I wonder how much I belive it in my heart. Do I really believe that God is in control? If I did wouldn't I be be making decisions differently?

So today I decided to look up a few verses to add to the process of strengthening my faith. A keyword search for "God able" was encouraging. Here are some hits.

Matthew 3:9
and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

Acts 15:10
Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Romans 8:39
nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 6:13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

He is sovereign!

My memory verse for the day/week

Deuteronomy 29:29
²⁹ The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

It is cool to me because it speaks of the majesty of God. That is why He is worthy of our worship, He is beyond us. At the same time, He reveals things to us so we can have a full life. And going against the flow a bit, the best way to have a full life is following His standard, not our own.
