Read the NT in 5 weeks - Mark

Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many
In my Bible it describes the Gospel of Mark as portraying "Jesus as a Servant on the move". I wondered if that is what I would notice while reading Mark this time. I have to admit, that I didn't really. I noticed something more mundane. That there seemed to be less "red letters" as in less quotes from Jesus and more narrative compared to Matthew's account. Don't get me wrong I don't think this Gospel is any less inspired. The narrative of Jesus' life is amazing. There a few verses that I underlined.
Mark 4:34 But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.

7:28 And she answered and said to Him, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs"

11:20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

15:17-18 And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and began to salute Him, "Hail, King of the Jews!"

16:20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
What verses would you notice as you read through Mark?

zingo says sending email does not seem to work to your gloryofgod account

this has been happening ever since I've been sending emails there, usually I get a "delayed" or something from postmaster, but the past few days I've gotten a few emails from you but all my replies were bounced back

of course I can send emails to/from other people no problem from zingo hotmail etc

and some Mark stuff just so this post isn't completely off-topic :)

key words for Mark are "immediately" it is a gospel of action written for the Romans & focuses on stuff interesting to them vs. other gospels also have stuff for Jewish people like geneology

Mark 1:9 - Jesus is introduced coming from Nazareth from Galilee - from the Strong's - Sanctified and Crowned of the Wheel - I always like this because he was already an overcomer even before his ministry started - Responsible and Accountable, I've been personally and negatively affected by the "faith" movement so this little key helped me open the door to what needs to BE - characteristicly before one operates in faith - WORK!
